Works Applications receives “APN Technology Partner of the Year” Award for second year running for being highest contributing technology partner to AWS business

Works Applications Co., Ltd. (Headquarters: Minato-ku, Tokyo; Representative Director, Chief Executive Officer: Masayuki Makino; hereinafter “WAP”) today announced that it has received the “APN Technology Partner of the Year” award for the second year running after receiving the best national rating in the technology partner category of Amazon Web Service's global partner program, AWS Partner Network (APN).

Independent software vendors, SaaS, PaaS, IaaS and Security Vendors are eligible for the “APN Technology Partner of the Year” award, which is granted to companies with particularly high usage levels of AWS services that have made the greatest contribution to AWS business in Japan throughout the year.

WAP has been a recognized APN Technology Partner since 2013.

Reason for award by Amazon Web Services Japan K.K.

As an APN technology partner providing their services via the AWS platform, WAP received high recognition for fully leveraging AWS services in the following developments as well as for its annual contribution to the AWS business in Japan.

  • Leverage use of the ever-evolving and multi-functional AWS Managed Services in the development of new functions in order to transform into cloud-based service provider and evolve from applications using legacy technology.

  • Using AWS services in multiple regions and continuing to exponentially expand its usage scope in 2018.

  • Continuing to improve daily operations through development using AWS service provided tools, and strengthening cooperation with the AWS support team. Additionally, its promotion of AWS Managed Services has successfully helped standardize operating environments, implement advanced security controls and reduce operating costs.
