WAP Selected as "Best Company" among over 940 companies in 9 Asian Countries for Two Consecutive Years

Works Applications Co., Ltd. (Headquarters: Minato-ku, Tokyo; Representative Director, Chief Executive Officer: Masayuki Makino; hereinafter “WAP”), today announced that it has received "Best Company" award in the second "The Best Workplaces in Asia" list (2016) issued by the Great Place to Work Institute (hereinafter "GPTW").
"The Best Workplaces in Asia" is a list of the top 25 companies selected from among more than 940 companies (500+ employees) with offices in 9 countries in Asia and Oceania regions (Japan, China, South Korea, Singapore, India, Australia, Sri Lanka, UAE, and Saudi Arabia).
WAP received high evaluations in the following three aspects – "Trust in management", "Pride in work and the company", and "Sense of community" – based on employee surveys. This is the second consecutive year WAP has received the "Best Company" award. In Japan, WAP has been receiving the "Best Company" award for nine consecutive years in "The Best Places to Work" (2016) list of GPTW Japan.
As part of WAP’s recent effort in its overseas expansion, the company has been actively hiring from Asia and Oceania regions including China, Singapore, India, Thailand, Bangladesh, Viet Nam, Indonesia, etc. Since 2009, WAP’s non-Japanese employee ratio has grown to close to 30%.
