(Headquarters: Shinjuku-ku, Tokyo; President and CEO: Nobuo Takenaka; hereinafter “Misawa Homes”) from its existing COMPANY human resources system suite in use since 2002.
Enforce operational digitalization as core growth strategy with AI WORKS upgrade
In its drive to become a “company that can deliver all kinds of housing-related solutions”, the Misawa Homes Group is advancing a broad initiative that extends beyond its traditional homebuilding business to include condominium construction, asset utilization services, real estate brokerage services, remodeling, senior care, services and even the design/construction of child-care facilities. The company has established nationwide network of sales offices, through which it provides services tailored to regional needs.
As the business continues to diversify, the group has been actively pushing for operational reform. For instance, as shared service center was established to consolidate back office operations throughout the group in 2012, Misawa Homes built a talent database that contains information of 35 group companies while standardizing HR policy and going through restructuring. In 2013, the group migrated companywide systems to public cloud and improved corporate performance by significantly reducing operational cost and improving usability. In 2017, to achieve its newly established business strategy, Misawa Homes decided to upgrade to AI WORKS to support its operational digitalization to drive digital innovation.
Increase business value of shared service center and reduce annual operational cost by 50%
AI WORKS has incorporated features from its previous generation enterprise system solution COMPANY, including offering rich selections of standard functionalities by incorporating requirements from all industries and utilizing operational knowhow from over 1,200 large enterprises. In addition, AI WORKS is equipped with artificial intelligence to collect, analyze, and learn from the collected big data. It also simplifies operations by overtaking manual tasks such as data inputting, accuracy check-up, inquiry correspondence, and document generation.
Misawa Homes is expecting 50% reduction of its operational cost by incorporating AI WORKS into its shared service center for human resource operations. The center will be able to provide higher value service by utilizing the talent data of the entire group accumulated within AI WORKS and work on important tasks such as building the talent strategy to fulfill the needs from its business diversification.
WAP will continue to support Misawa Homes to achieve its growth as a dedicated business partner.
