TOKYO – June 8, 2015 – Works Applications, Japan’s largest ERP software provider, today announced it has established a new office for sales and customer support in Torrance, California, with the aim of further expanding sales in the North American region. This is the second US-based sales office for Works Applications, which also has a presence in New York City, as well as offices in Shanghai, Singapore and Chennai, India.
Hiroyuki Komatsu, president of Works Applications America and Works Applications Singapore, will head up operations at the Torrance facility. The company is actively recruiting for open positions in sales and customer support roles. There are currently more than 3,000 Works Applications employees worldwide.
Works Applications serves customers in all major industries, including healthcare, education, manufacturing, energy and transportation. Notably, Works Applications holds nearly 35 percent market share in Japan, the largest of any ERP provider in that market.
The Torrance office will allow Works Applications to better support Japanese-based companies that are expanding their North American presence, as well as US-based prospects and global enterprises.
Works Applications’ current ERP software package, COMPANY, is used by more than 7,000 global organizations and more than 1,000 of the largest Japanese brand name companies and subsidiaries to support their core businesses. Its newest product offering, AI Works (High Usability Enterprise), is a versatile, cloud-based, ERP solution that provides a consumer-friendly user interface, significantly increased speed, artificial intelligence capabilities, support for mobile devices, and a focus on enterprise applications.
The city of Torrance serves as the US headquarters for numerous Japanese-based corporations such as Toyota Motor Sales USA, American Honda Motor Company, and others.
