Works Applications to Provide Its Financial Management Software Series to JTEKT of Toyota Group

JTEKT selected Works Applications for 17 of its consolidated subsidiaries.

TOKYO – January 8, 2015 – Works Applications, Japan’s largest ERP software provider, today announced that JTEKT, a worldwide manufacturer, has selected its COMPANY AC SERIES software module for 17 of JTEKT’s consolidated subsidiaries. JTEKT selected Works Applications for its expertise in operating mission-critical accounting systems, including general and management accounting, receivables and payables management and fixed-asset management. The company will integrate Works Applications’ "COMPANY Financial Management", "COMPANY Business Management", and "COMPANY Assets Management" software in order seamlessly integrate its accounting processes and achieve its business objectives.

Due to an outdated existing system and the introduction of the International Financial Reporting Standards (IFRS), JTEKT began to investigate a replacement system. The company sought an IFRS-compliant system that could be easily implemented, and therefore adopted COMPANY. With the aim of strengthening governance domestically in Japan and on a global scale, JTEKT started operation of COMPANY at three sites in Chubu, Osaka and Tokyo, including its headquarters and consolidated subsidiaries.

With the introduction of COMPANY, the accounting and asset information was made visible group-wide, promoting unification of accounts and development of a code system. Through this process, JTEKT has achieved centralized management of accounting work in Japan, which will also promote the governance strengthening of the entire JTEKT Group worldwide.

In addition to the AC Series, JTEKT also employs the HR Series products "COMPANY HCM & Payroll,"  "COMPANY Web Service," "Company Global HR," and "COMPANY Talent Management" for global human resources information management and implementation of succession planning. By employing both the AC Series and HR Series, JTEKT has been able to implement a centralized information management approach allowing a more efficient and higher level of business management.
