TOKYO - May 21, 2014 - Works Applications, Japan’s largest ERP software provider, will accept talented engineering students from all over the world for internships from mid-May to mid-July. This internship program, started last year, became an attractive opportunity for career development among university career centers and students, and in FY 2014 there were a total of 28 participants from world-class educational institutions such as India Institute of Technology, Singapore University, and others, a major increase over the nine participants in the previous year.

Interaction between students and employees generates innovation

These internships develop and build technical skills at the practical level for participating students by enabling them to solve real-world problems with technology for business. In addition, the interns work closely with Works Applications employees, which provides a challenging and stimulating learning environment, as well as a means to help drive continued technical development at Works Applications.

Another employee who worked with the interns said, “During the internship period, we completed more than twice as many tasks as I had expected, and it was highly satisfying to see the speed of both input and output. The internship participants also offered suggestions and observations around security and hacking that I had not considered, and I realized how important it is to have a team comprised of people with various viewpoints.”
