(Headquarters: Minato-ku, Tokyo; Representative Director, Chief Executive Officer: Masayuki Makino; hereinafter “WAP”) attained a three-year revenue growth rate of 104%, at the 4th Deloitte Touche Tohmatsu Japan Technology Fast50, which ranks the fastest-growing companies in technology, media, telecommunications (hereinafter “TMT”), according to Deloitte Touche Tohmatsu LLC (hereinafter “Tohmatsu”). From 8,000 TMT companies, WAP was ranked among the top 50 fastest-growing companies. In this program organized by Deloitte Touche Tohmatsu (hereinafter “DTT”), an international accounting association of which Tohmatsu is a member firm, company rankings are published annually by region, such as North America and Europe. Many of the world's leading tech companies have been considered by this ranking. In the technology industry, this ranking is recognized as an authoritative award. Approximately 8,000 TMT companies (both listed and unlisted) are ranked according to their latest three-year revenue growth rate. WAP has been automatically nominated for the 5th Asia Pacific Technology Fast500 scheduled to be published in December.
Japan Technology Fast50
Tohmatsu ranks the 50 fastest-growing TMT companies in Japan according to their latest three-year revenue growth. Companies are nominated from industries such as software, Internet, computer (including peripherals), life sciences, communication, and semi-conductors (including parts and equipment).
* Ranking is based on revenue growth rate from 2004 to 2006 for companies whose accounting period ends in January to March, and from 2003 to 2005 for companies whose accounting period ends at any other time of the year.
Asia Pacific Technology Fast500
DTT ranks the 500 fastest-growing TMT companies in three regions in the world- North America (since 1995), and Europe and Asia Pacific (both since 2002). Last year, 70 Japanese companies were ranked in the Asia Pacific Technology Fast500.
